In accordance with the Decree No. PF-122 dated April 27, 2022 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On additional measures to improve the customs administration", as well as the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 656 dated November 8, 2023 The activity of the state institution "Customs service" was established under the Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to this decision, the main tasks of the Institution are:
- drawing up customs declarations and other documents for state organizations and declarants on the basis of the contract, submitting them to the state customs service authorities and carrying out other operations on customs clearance of goods;
- equipping border crossing points with control and technical means, ensuring their use (providing service and repair), as well as providing paid services for the use of these means;
- organization of parking lots at border crossing points and adjacent areas and provision of consulting services not prohibited by law;
- organization of customs warehouses in the buildings and warehouses belonging to the state customs service bodies on the basis of a contract, storage of goods in customs warehouses, provision of loading and unloading services and implementation of other cargo operations;
- to carry out construction and assembly works in the customs control zone independently or jointly with other organizations after obtaining permission in accordance with legal documents;
- storage and sale of property seized by the state customs service bodies and transferred to state income in accordance with the procedure established by legislation (with the exception of property provided to other state bodies by legislation);
- organization of sale of goods received on the basis of a person's decision to renounce state benefits in accordance with legislation, delivery and application of electronic customs seals, paid when foreign goods are transported under customs control, including when transported individually under customs control is defined as the organization of customs escort by providing services.
